Dussehra is a popular Indian festival celebrated by Hindus all over the world. This follows nine days of festivity called Navratri which means nine nights in Sanskrit.
Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, the divine embodiment of Shakti (energy). Garba, originally a devotional dance, was performed to worship the deity and celebrate fertility and the harvest season. The circular movements of Garba symbolize the cycles of life, nature, and the changing seasons.
The colourful sticks used to perform Dandiya represents the sword of Goddess Durga. Dandiya is enjoyed mostly in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan states of India
See you 🙌🏼
