About venue
The N.K. Roerich Museum is a cultural and educational venue devoted to the artistic, scientific and philosophical legacy of Nicholas Roerich and his family. It opened in 2018 as the first permanent exhibition space of its kind in Kyrgyzstan. Its core display comprises more than 200 high-quality reproductions of works by Nicholas and Svetoslav Roerich, covering different periods and themes, together with books and illustrated materials about the family’s cultural and public activities. The venue hosts thematic exhibitions, guided tours, lectures and talks, documentary screenings, chamber concerts, creative meetings and educational programmes. Its events calendar may therefore appeal to visitors interested in exhibitions, concerts, art history, cultural heritage, travel and the links between Central Asia and India. The museum is located in Bishkek’s Oktyabr District at 41 Bolot Yunusaliyev Street. Visitors are advised to check current opening information and participation requirements for individual events through the museum’s official social media channels or by phone before travelling.
